State of Florida v. P.J.
Over the course of a two-day trial, Ms. Borghetti secured a JUDGMENT OF ACQUITTAL ON FOUR OF FIVE COUNTS in a juvenile gun case prosecuted as an adult. (1) The attempted second-degree murder charge was reduced to aggravated battery with a firearm, (2) shooting into a vehicle was reduced to exhibition of a firearm, (3) one count of aggravated assault with a firearm was acquitted and the second (4) was reduced to improper exhibition of a firearm.
P.J. was only convicted of the lesser-included offense of possession of a firearm by a minor.
